Slimming world sweet scones

Gas mark 6 for approx 30 mins. You could turn these into fruit scones by adding raisins or currants – but remember to syn the fruit!
  • 1 pkt instant mash
  • Mullerlight (or other fat free yogurt)
  • ⅔ eggs seasoning
  • frylight
  1. Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix together until you have a pastry consistency
  2. Line a baking tin with baking parchment.
  3. Take your mix out onto pastry board and start to flatter it with the palm of your hand until ¾” thick and cut out with pastry cutter,
  4. Place scones onto baking tray and spray with frylight.
  5. Place near the top of the oven.
  6. Gas mark 6 for 40/45mins

    Not been on your blog in a while! You are doing fabulous, well done! Wish I had your willpower with the alcohol!! Can you tell me what kind of mullerlight you use for these scones, I am intrigued to try them, have tried garlic bread using smash but was waaaay too underseasoned and kinda put me off. TIA

      Hi Margaret,
      I personnaly use a vanilla yogurt, but I have read some others use a mullerlite mandarin one – but that just doesnt sound right to me lmao, but who knows, maybe it’s good ??? It’s all about personal taste isnt it.

      I also was really disappointed when I first made the garlic bread following the recipe, but I didnt like tweaking it as it was given to me and thought I’d try it anyway. I dont make it that often, but last time I did, I also added more seasoning, plus chopped fresh corriander and a tspn of dried curry powder – it worked much better. Try switching the recipe to put in things you like and see if it makes a difference. I also left it thicker as on a previous occasion I think I’d made it too thin and it was a bit “crispy” to say the least.

      Thanks for the positive comments about the weight loss – the alcohol still wins sometimes lmao, but hey, life is too short to not enjoy! How are you doing? xx
